This Cycle's New Missionaries and a lot of special dinners....

When we arrived, each missionary apartment had one medicine kit.  The idea was that when a missionary used medicine from the kit, they were to replenish it so it would be available for the next one who needed it.  That is all good in theory, but often it was not replenished.  I have been wanting to give individual medicine kits to each missionary for a long time and finally, with the help of our Senior Sisters and Sister Mel, it got done!  Hooray!

200 medicine kits made with love!
                                                    Our handsome Facilities Management Team!

All the new missionaries and their trainers.

We were asked to speak at the FSY (For Strength of Youth - A week long youth camp patterned after EFY). We had a lot of fun hanging with these future missionaries!

Yes, that is a battery operated fan in my hand - you do what you gotta do....
As part of our presentation we had them all write an uplifting message on a piece of paper and then make an airplane out of it.  They flew them all at once and then picked up a different one to see what message they received.

May 2019 Outgoing Missionaries
                                                    May 2019 Incoming Missionaries
This is the first time to go off and do something (other than grocery shopping) without my companion.  I joined the Senior Sisters for a night out at the movie Aladdin - Fun!

This is beautiful Fena Zabala.  She is the daughter of our Facilities Manager and this is her 18th birthday party.  The 18th birthday is a BIG DEAL here in the Philippines!  Everyone wore purple, dinner was served, she was given 18 purple roses from 18 handsome young men and danced with each, young men sang to her, she sang, her mom sang to her, her dad danced with her and pretty much everyone at the party went up to her in this special tent and said some kind words to her.

This is President's birthday luncheon.  It was a day of "business as usual", but we did managed to get in a special meal with the MLC.
Sister Drazyich's meal at a recent dinner to thank our Sr. Missionaries.
Fish is always served with the complete insides and outsides.
Just one of the amazing scenic overlooks in our mission boundaries.

I am pretty sure this is the first and only Mint Oreo Shake in the Philippines.  Thanks to the Mint Oreos sent from the US, I made one special for Fathers Day.

"Nachoooooo"!  We had heard of this "Mexican" restaurant and so went to check it out. The food was ok, but the paintings were awesome!  More importantly, as we talked to the girl that worked there we found out she almost got baptized - backed out on her baptism day 20 years ago.  Time for a second try...
We took the released Vigan District Presidency and their wives out to dinner.  Guess who chose the venue....
